Beginner to Advanced Facilitator Training

Globally Building Facilitation Skills

Who is this for?

Our professional development materials and offerings are for people who regularly need process facilitation skills (not training), want to become more collaborative in their leadership style and are called to work in culturally diverse situations.

We use proven learning methods targeted to many different learning preferences. Our goal is for every participant to gain knowledge, skills and attitudes and retain those changes over time.

North Star has teamed up with Eileen Pippins, of Eileen Pippins Consulting Agency, to provide a wide variety of professional development resources, with an emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion in our mentoring, design and skill feedback and live trainings in the categories below.

Let us be your guides

I've been facilitating since 1981. I founded my facilitation business, North Star Facilitators in 1995 and since then have designed and led thousands of facilitated meetings, conferences and workshops all over the world. In recent years I focused my passion on ensuring that the world has increasing numbers of competent, collaborative leaders. My approach to teaching is to honor the incredible intelligence of every person. I've worked hard to have this come across even in online training. Some of my colleagues have recently said that I am inspirational in my generosity, compassion and commitment to supporting those that need the gifts I have to offer. I was recently honored with being inducted into the International Association of Facilitators Hall of Fame, and with a gold level IAF Facilitation impact Award for a collaborative project we did with health care leaders in the Middle East. I am also a certified professional facilitator with the IAF and one of 20+ global assessors who certify other facilitators. My core facilitation methodology is the Technology of Participation (ToP) infused with principles of neuroscience, Non Violent Communication, cross cultural diversity and inclusion perspectives and graphic facilitation.
